There is NO LICENSE REQUIRED on our hunt club. Please make reservations as far in advance as possible. Hunts are booked on a first reserve basis with members having priority for hunting fields. When making a reservation please provide the following information: Date, Time (morning or afternoon), number of birds, breed of your hunting dog or if you require a dog and handler, and if you want bird cleaning. Please mention any special needs due to a hunters age or health. We'll do our best to make your hunting experience as enjoyable as possible. Season Dates Our bird hunting begins on the 2nd Saturday of September. Hunts are booked for either the morning or afternoon. Morning hunts are from 9:00 am to 12 noon and afternoon hunts are from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We are open 7 days a week until the weather closes us down (usually by Dec. 10th). Dogs and Handlers You must have a dog to hunt at the preserve. We welcome your hunting dog (new or experienced) to enjoy the hunt. We ask that you keep your dog under control and in your hunting area for the courtesy to our other hunting fields. If you don't have a dog, we have experienced dogs with the handlers that you can request for a fee. Hunt Requirements We release both rooster and hen pheasants for your hunt with the minimum release being 10 birds. We hunt primarily pheasants, but also have a limited number of chukar partridge on hand. We ask that you limit your hunting party to 4 persons (whether shooting or walking along) and that any youth (under 18) has completed a gun safety course. All hunters are required to check in at the clubhouse prior to (and at the end of) your hunt. Every hunter is required to wear a blaze orange vest or hat (we recommend both). We can provide a loaner vest for you if you don't have one of your own. No drinking will be allowed before or during your hunt. We ask that you keep all alcoholic beverages in your cooler until you return to the clubhouse. You are most welcome to use the clubhouse and enjoy your refreshments AFTER your hunt is done. Any infractions will result in immediate termination of your hunt. Thank You! |
